A complete set of payment services

Smart POS terminals

A terminal for the till, the table or an unattended site, reported together with your online sales.

The terminal arrives configured for your account. Power it on, log in with a PIN and take the first transaction, no engineer, no setup.

If you also sell online, the biggest gain is not the terminal itself but that both channels land in one report and one settlement.

A terminal is no longer only a terminal

The old POS did one thing: read a card and print a slip. A Smart POS terminal is an Android device with a screen, internet and apps. Besides taking payment it can check stock, email a receipt, take a tip on screen, split a bill between four people and push the sale into your till software without anyone keying it in again.

The practical difference shows in two places. The first is speed at the table: splitting a bill that used to take several minutes and an explanation now takes thirty seconds. The second is reporting: the sale from the terminal and the sale from the website land in the same report instead of being reconciled by hand at month end.

The device arrives configured for your account. You switch it on, log in with a PIN and take the first transaction. No engineer, no phone setup, no waiting.

How to choose a model without overpaying

The choice comes down to one question: where is the terminal standing when the customer pays.

If it sits at a till and does not move, take a countertop with a wired connection and a printer. It is the cheapest, the most reliable and it never runs flat. Castles AMS1 and Verifone M450 belong here.

If it travels to the table or to the customer, you need a mobile unit with a battery and SIM. Verifone P630 and Castles S1E2-L cover that. Watch battery life if the shift is twelve hours.

If you sell from a stall, on delivery or at an event, a compact model with a built-in SIM is enough. Datecs SFO1 and NYC1 are small and light.

If the site runs without staff, a car park, car wash or vending machine, you need an unattended device in a rugged housing, for example Castles S1U2. Here durability matters, not the screen.

What happens to the money after the tap

A terminal transaction follows the same path as an online payment: scheme, issuing bank, response. The difference is in the price. A card-present payment usually carries lower interchange than an online one, because the fraud risk is smaller. So the same customer with the same card costs you less at the till than on the site.

Settlement is combined. If you run both a shop and a website, the takings from both channels arrive in one account on one report. With several locations you can choose a single transfer or one per site, depending on how you want to track results.

Which model for which site

The same devices, sorted by how you sell.

If your site sits between two categories, take the mobile model. It works at a till too; the reverse is not true.

What to check before you order

A few things that turn out to matter only after delivery.

  • Is there Wi-Fi on site or do you need a SIM
  • How long the shift runs and whether the battery lasts it
  • Whether a printer is needed or the receipt goes by email
  • Whether you will take tips and need bill splitting
  • Whether there is till software for the terminal to talk to
  • How many devices a peak day actually needs

Questions about this

Does the terminal talk to my till system?

Most common till and restaurant systems either have an integration or push the amount to the terminal automatically. Tell us which system you run and we will confirm before you order.

How quickly does the device arrive?

Within 3 business days anywhere in Bulgaria once the account is approved. It arrives configured, so activation takes minutes.

Does it work without internet?

Briefly and with limits. A payment needs a connection to be authorised. Models with a SIM fall back to mobile data when Wi-Fi drops, which in practice covers most situations.

Can I return the device if I do not need it?

Terms depend on whether you rent or buy. They are written into the contract before delivery, without small print.

Does it support Apple Pay, Google Pay and contactless?

Yes, every model listed accepts contactless payment by card, phone and watch.

Can I use one device across two sites?

Technically yes, but reporting is per device. If you want to track takings by site, a device each is the sensible choice, not least because one is not enough on a busy day.

Who pays for the device's internet?

On models with a SIM, the card and the data come with the device and are included in the monthly fee. On wired and Wi-Fi models you use the site's own connection, so there is no extra cost.

Is there training for staff?

The device is Android with a large screen and takes minutes to learn. We provide a short guide for cashiers and stay available for the first days, when questions about tips and bill splitting usually come up.
